OBC (out of the blue cafe) located in 2426NE 2nd ave (24th Street) is the "midtown best kept secret!" Come endulge your senses, schmooze with the eclectic, yet trendy and artsy crowd, sip some amazing wine, try the handrolled Cigars, and listen to the sultry DJ-set
Chez Papa, the bistro, has been around for sometime now operating out of Potrero Hill. Now, the owners have opened a restaurant in downtown San Francisco on Mint Plaza next to the old Mint, a renovated square that is also home to the first cafe of the Blue Bottle Coffee company.
this place could be a mecca for straight and gays alike, who enjoy good coffee, cake, a beer or two and watching the world go by if they keep on top of the cleaning, bring back house music and change the crockery.
They could pass for mourners at a funeral. They line up along the main drag in front of empty cafes and shops and rusted mining equipment fenced off with barbed wire. Passing time, some from this blue-jean crowd press hands and foreheads against windows of stores. Businesses that died so many years ago it's hard to remember what they sold...
